Princess K Fitness started offering Pole Fitness classes in 2009 - following a rebrand in 2015, they now simply refer to their classes as ‘Pole’, and hope to embrace all the styles and varieties of the art that they love!
Karen Currie (aka Princess K) started learning Pole in 2007 at the tender age of 45, and her initial intention was to teach one or two Pole classes at her regular gym.
Today, with Pole continuing to increase in popularity, PKF is in three venues across the south coast (Chichester, Waterlooville and Farlington) with seven fully qualified, fully insured Instructors and another, currently in training. They also offer Workshops in Burlesque, Strut (The Stiletto Workout), Risqué (their own version of the Lap/Chair workout) and PureStretch.
PKF’s ethos is centred around providing a safe, secure, friendly and non-judgemental environment for everyone to enjoy Pole - from pure fitness through to saucy sexiness. It’s your Pole, your way!
All PKF students are encouraged to give themselves a Pole Doll name to help them tap into their inner strength and unleash their confident Alter Ego!
At 54 years young, Princess K wants to prove that age is just a number and that you really can teach an old gal new ‘Pole’ tricks - she’s currently the oldest registered Instructor with PDC (Pole Dance Community) and she’s rather proud of that fact!
